Halloween and Daniel gets the season wrong! Doh! Pic Wk5P02
29th Oct 2005 [Age: 4wks 1days]
For the last few nights Daniel has slept for 4.5/5hrs before needing
fed again. Mel and I are taking turns for the night feeds. It normally takes
longer to get his wind up than it does to feed him though!

Weight: 12lb 6oz! Gran and grandpa Stephen came up from Surrey to see
Daniel for the first time and were very excited to see him and amazed at his
size! See pics of week 4

Daniel is now being bottle-fed. He is just too hungry for Mel to cope
with on her own especially with constant sleep depravation. On the plus side
he is now sleeping for 2-3 hrs between feeds which is giving Mel a bit of a
break. Hopefully his sleep periods will continue to increase in length.
17th Oct 2005 [Age: 2wks 3days]
Mel and Daniel came home from the hospital today. He hasn't slept and
fed constantly from 7am until 7pm! He is 10lb 12oz today. Refer to this
table to match Daniels age with the dates on the pictures.
14th Oct 2005 [Age: 2wks 0days]
Daniel has reached 10lb 8oz. That's a gain of 1lb 5oz (21oz) since
his birth 2 weeks ago. An average of 10.5oz per week! See
this link!
Mel is coming home from hospital tomorrow for a trial period and we're all looking
forward to having them both home. :)
12th Oct 2005 [Age: 1wks 5days]
Mel is doing much better now that Daniel has begun to have longer sleeps
between feeds and we're hoping that she will be able to come home very soon
:)

Daniel is now 10 lbs. Such a grubber! :)
8th Oct 2005 [Age: 1wks 1days]
Unfortunately Mel had to be admitted to hospital on the 6th and Daniel went
with her. Mum is improving and the wee lad is still feeding well. He's put on
12 oz in 4 days! Hopefully they'll both be able to come home soon.
2nd Oct 2005 [Age: 0wks 2days]
Mum and baby came home from hospital yesterday. Daniel attempted to feed constantly
from 5pm until 7am so we got little sleep. The midwife at the hospital said
that quite often the first night home is a nightmare due to the change in surroundings
and that mums milk isn't quite in yet. Tried him on formula milk which I got
from the 24 hr garage at 2am but he wasn't for taking it. Hopefully things will
improve today and he'll have a better night tonight (us too).
Later...
Daniel is now feeding well and is very much more content with a bath and a full
tummy :)
Took picture number 24 with my phone and we think it's just such a great photo
of him!
