30th Sept 2006 [Age: 1 year]

Happy First Birthday to our wonderful son Daniel :) We are all so proud of him! He is a wee ray of sunshine, always beaming with smiles and laughing and joking. What a sense of humour for such a wee boy!

Daniel started walking 2 weeks ago and is now very stable on his feet and is charging around chasing the "mawa"s (cats)

He has had a great birthday with lots of visitors and presents. Thanks to his visitors: Gran Iris & Jack, Auntie Claire, Uncle Hugh and cousin Adam, Stevie, Donella and Molly, Julie and Davie and Margaret Harris. Everyone had a great time.

Daniel is still sleeping well, usually from 7:30 pm until 6:30 am although mum and dad don't usually get to sleep early enough to catch up with what they need.

He now has 3 teeth (almost 4) on the top and 2 on the bottom which he uses to great effect munching through everything! He is quite adept at using a fork and a spoon now though he does resort to his hands when he is particularly hungry.

Earlier in the month we had a visit from Auntie Val and big Dan and we had a great time with them. It was lovely to meet Dan who was amazed at how Daniel can now use a spoon to eat his wheatabix amongst many other meals. Daniel was quite taken with both Val and Dan and we look forward to another visit from them sometime in the future.

Planning to update this at the end of each month now. :)
